Intro to the 7 Planets
In the beginning, it was said “ Let there be Light”. Creating the Luminaries in the Sky which I will now shed light upon.
Before introducing The 7 Wandering Stars (Planets), we must bring to light the Fixed Stars, Fixed stars are Celestial Bodies that appear to remain stationary in the night sky relative to other Stars, forming the backdrop against which Planets move. The term "Fixed Stars" comes from the Latin "stellae fixae" and refers to Stars that seem to maintain their positions in relation to one another, creating recognizable Constellations and patterns in the sky. Amongst the Fixed Stars are the 12 Constellations that are called the Zodiacs. Which are the Constellations along the path the Planets take during their individual journeys across the Ecliptic of the Fixed Stars.
The first Planet in this introduction will be the Star at the heart and center of all Mankind, The Sun.
The Sun who is seen as the Single and only Star to permeate the Sky during Day with his warmth and light. He who is the giver of life and who paints images upon the darkness. His path is eternity and perfect, never moving backwards. He creates the Year itself by Completing his 365 Day Journey through the 12 Zodiacs, changing the Seasons of life as he crosses each Zodiac every Month.
There is but one Luminary who can share the Day with this King, that is his Queen, The Moon. She is Queen of the Sky and Queen of the Night. She moves faster than any other Star in the Sky and so much faster, that she visits and passes by each one once a Month, completing her 28 Day journey through the 12 Zodiacs and like the Sun, never puts a halt to her movements. These 2 reign over the Sky and move in cycles, never going backwards unlike the retrogrades that are experienced by the other 5 Planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
There are 2 other Planets that are faster than the Sun but are bound to it and have to stay in close proximity. Before they can get too far they begin their retrograde and make sure to get behind the Sun in his path. These are Mercury and Venus. Mercury can only be as far as 28° Degrees away from the Sun in Angular Distance and Venus can only get as far as 47° Degrees away from the Sun. This is why they both can be seen only as an Evening Star or a Morning Star. After Sunset or before Sunrise.
If the Sun is the central life force of Man it can be called the Spirit of Man. Mercury is the Planet of the Mind and Venus is the Planet of Emotions and Pleasure. The Mind and Emotions are linked to our Body and Spirit as they are also shown to have a link with each other in the Celestial Realm above.
Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn move slower than the Sun and are not bound to be in proximity of the Sun.
Mars is known to be the Warrior of the Planets, providing us with Energy, Passion, and Ambition, the Red Star that embodies us with Drive, Power, and Strength.
Jupiter is known to be the King of the Heavens, having a nature of Giving, Abundance, Higher Learning, Religion, and Expansion. We experience Jupiter’s full cycle every 12 Years.
Then we have Saturn, the Grandfather and ruler of Time, Saturn knows patience, perseverance, discipline, and endurance. The one known to be the outermost Planet of the Cosmos, taking 29 whole years just to complete it's cycle through the 12 Zodiacs, so spending about 2.5 Years just to cross 1 Zodiac.
Chaldean Order
The Chaldean Order of the Seven Planets is an ancient system that organizes the seven classical celestial bodies (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) based on their perceived speed of movement relative to Earth. The order is: Saturn (slowest), Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Moon (fastest). This arrangement influenced astrology, magic, and the naming of Weekdays in many cultures
This order of the Planets is widely known as the Chaldean Order
The Chaldeans were a West Semitic people who migrated to southern Mesopotamia (Modern Day Iraq) around the 10th–9th century BCE. They eventually established a kingdom and became known for their contributions to astronomy, astrology, and mathematics. They played a significant role in Babylonian history, particularly during the Neo-Babylonian Empire under rulers like Nebuchadnezzar II. By 539 BCE, they had been assimilated into Babylonian culture
Beginning from Saturn, moving Clockwise, are the Planets from Slowest to Fastest.
The Chaldeans influenced the development of the seven-day week through their astronomical and astrological observations. They identified the Seven Planets and believed these bodies influenced events on Earth. As a result, they assigned each day of the week to one of these celestial bodies, creating the Planetary naming system still reflected in modern weekdays (e.g., Saturday for Saturn, Sunday for the Sun, Monday for the Moon).
Planetary Hours
Each Day of the Week is ruled by the Planet it is associated with. The Planet, known as the "Day Lord". The Day Lord is the Planet that Governs the whole day in general and the First Hour of the Day, starting at Sunrise. From there, the Planetary Hours proceed in Chaldean order.
For example, On a Saturday the First Hour of Sunrise is Governed by Saturn and the rest of the hours are Governed by the next 6 Planets in order.
Sunrise Hour starting at 6:28am
♄ - Saturn - 6:28am
♃ - Jupiter - 7:30am
♂ - Mars
☉ - Sun
♀ - Venus
☿ - Mercury
☽ - Moon
And it proceeds in rotation.
♄ - Saturn
♃ - Jupiter
♂ - Mars
☿ - Sun
♀ - Venus
This sequence continues until all 24 hours of the day are assigned.
The First Hour of the following day is Governed by the Day Lord and begins the new cycle of Hours ruled by the 7 Planets. In this case the Sun rules the First Hour of the next Day which is Sunday.
